KINTSUGI

Kintsugi is a four-hundred-year old Japanese method of mending broken ceramics traditionally using lacquer and gold. Kintsugi does not try to hide the repairs, rather highlights the mended areas making the ceramic piece more beautiful and valuable than before it was broken.

Experience the process of kintsugi repair using alternative materials in this one-hour workshop making beautiful things from broken pieces. Plates will be available to break.

WATERCOLOR-RESIST

This is a fun technique for beginners and experienced painters alike. Learn about using wax candles or crayons to create a resist to your watercolor paint. You will paint on top of a waxy drawing in order to reveal the lines of your drawing.

RUG HOOKING

Try your hand at rug hooking by creating a mini fiber picture. You will pull wool fabric strips and yarn through a cloth backing to create your unique textile artwork.
