Lotty
New to the festival this year, we are excited to welcome Moradavaga. Moradavaga (a contraction of the Portuguese words for “vague address”) is a collective born from the collaboration of architects Manfred Eccli (Bolzano, Italy, 1981) and Pedro Cavaco Leitão (Porto, Portugal, 1976). Intersecting architecture, art, and design, their works function as “dormant tools” in waiting status, requiring the user’s engagement to activate them.
“Lotty”, a large interactive squid sculpture on loan from Blumenthal Arts Foundation in Charlotte, NC, will be installed at the entrance of Falls Park inviting patrons into Tate Plaza with its tentacles and delighting kids and adults alike!
