Origlia!

New to the festival this year, we are excited to welcome Moradavaga.  Moradavaga (a contraction of the Portuguese words for “vague address”) is a collective born from the collaboration of architects Manfred Eccli (Bolzano, Italy, 1981) and Pedro Cavaco Leitão (Porto, Portugal, 1976).

Origlia!” is an interactive Art Installation by Moradavaga, which was shown for the first time at the Urban Art Festival “Terminal – Festival dell’arte in strada “ in Udine, Italy in 2017. The installation is inspired by the old telephone booths, which have almost disappeared from our surroundings, to create a new communication space. Through corrugated tubes the new “communication devices” work like old wire phones and allow to chat with other people. The work functions as a kind of giant “urban group chat”, in which all the connections in between the users are visible and highlighted by size and colour. Making the connections visible in an analogical way, the work aims to reflect on the invisible and sometimes confusing ways our digital connected society is going through.”
